Financial District

Financial District

Located on the southernmost tip of Manhattan, Financial District comprises offices and headquarters of many of New York Citys major financial institutions. Also known as FiDi, this district attracts swarms of tourists as much as it does daytime traders to the home of New York Stock Exchange and the Federal Reserve Bank of New York.

To many, the Financial District is alive as a commercial and residential area,  with great hotels, high-end retail outlets and upscale restaurants and bars. There are many historical sites in the neighborhood, including the Charging Bull attracting many visitors each year. The scheduled Freedom Towers will be an iconic site for all in the FInancial District once finished.

The Financial District is home to the South Street Seaport and the Fulton Street fish market in encompasses as well.
